This two-page spread has one page with a line drawing of the school mascot, a listing of school Nickname (Jayhawks) and Colors (Crimson and Blue) and several paragraphs about the school's history, back to "The University of Kansas opened its doors September 12, 1866, to 29 men and 26 women, being the second state university to accept co-education." The second page is the title, song credits and opening bars and lyrics of the school's rousing fight song, "I'm a Jayhawk." Gotta love those lyrics!!! The song continues on the reverse and concludes on the front and back of a second page, also included. Taken directly from a college song book published in the 1970s, these are three beautiful, crisp pages in pristine condition. When framed side by side, the two pages as shown are a lovely tribute to the University. Song credits at top: "Words and Music by George Bowles '08-'11" Dates at bottom: "1920 George H. Bowles.
