Description: On auction is a Universal Geneve White Shadow Blue Ellipse in near NOS condition! This one was kept in a superb condition, and easily has the cleanest sunburst blue dial that i've personally had over the years from Universal Geneve. When i had the watch open to take pictures of the inside, there was some patina on the hands and a bit on the edges of the dial. After the hands were removed and cleaned, while doing a pass around the dial with some rodico to remove dust particles and a bit of patina, the "swiss" that is at the 6 o'clock has comepletely peeled off, and got stuck to the rodico piece. So if it's something that might bother you, make sure that you're aware of this happening. Even tho these were originally made as a men's dress watch, an ultra slim design in 34mm should be perfectly suitable for ladies as well. Original box, box cover and a world service papers are also included, all of which are in top shape as well. Like with most vintage mechanical watches, i cannot guarantee an accurate timekeeping. Since these are around fifty years old, a full service of the movement is highly suggested for regular use. More information about the watch will be described below. Dial: Original rare sunburst Blue dial with Silver/Champagne hands and Silver non-numeral hour markers. The dial is a superb condition, and pretty much as good as new old stock! As mentioned above, while i had this watch open to take pictures of the movement, i did a pass around the dial with some rodico to remove small dust particles and a bit of patina. The "swiss" mark, which had some patina on top, got stuck to the piece of rodico, and completely peeled from the dial. Crown: Original Universal Geneve signed stainless steel crown. Fully operational, and without any cosmetic damage. Crystal: Original flat mineral crystal. In excellent condition. Bracelet: Original Swiss Made integrated & adjustable stainless steel mesh bracelet from Universal Geneve. Bracelet is in 20.5cm. In top shape, and is very clean all around. Clasp locks perfectly. Weight: 61g with the integrated bracelet included. Movement: Original Swiss Made micro-rotor automatic movement from Universal Geneve in caliber Universal 2-66. Fully functional. No service records on this movement, but looks very clean for its age.
