Properties of Alpaca wool: Alpaca is one of the warmest and finest wools and is the cashmere of the Andes, providing isolation in the Andes mountains without the weight. Also, it is a hypoallergenic material. Because it is natural fiber not synthetic, it breathes and supports many wears without the need of washing the piece, after every use. When washing, use the delicate cycle in cold water, and do not put in the drier. After taking it from the wash machine, just need to hang up in a hanger to dry. Please do not use the dryer because it will harm or freeze the beautiful alpaca fleece fiber. With the proper care, it will last forever as your treasure outerwear every winter. Alpacas were not killed for producing this item. These beautiful animals are shaved, the same way the sheep are shaved seasonally when the hair gets long and desirable for the poncho and knit weaving or looming.
