Description: Unique, Rare Novelty ENVELOPE & LETTER Antique. Rice Paper. Oriental. Geisha This is a very nice NOVELTY GREETINGS item that is ANTIQUE from the early 1900's. This is a small ENVELOPE and NOTE PAPER that is made from RICE. The texture glistens and it is in straight lines. This is truly a UNIQUE and possibly RARE envelope and note paper. The envelope measures 4 3/4" wide (12 cm), and 3 3/4" tall (9cm). The envelope shows two men and a GEISHA girl sitting on the ground. The picture is PHOTO STYLE and it has some color to it. The inside note card opens and you have 7 Geisha ladies in a circle with one sitting on the ground. This is a forest scene with pine trees in the background. The note card fits inside the envelope. This is a beautiful item and would please collectors who enjoy ORIENTAL material, postcards, and ephemera. It was probably published in Japan during the 1890-1900 era. This is a delicate envelope and note paper that is in good condition. The flap of the envelope has come off, but the picture on the front and the picture on the note paper is not damaged. This is truly a collector item! This is a very nice piece of history. This is a BETTER item, good for a collector, and it will keep its value! The photos show the item.
