The final chapter outlines what each of us can do to make the world better for tomorrow. Author Biography Edward S. Smith, Jr., is a Real Estate Instructor, Author, Consultant and Broker. In 2009 he was one of the first agents to earn the National Association of Realtors Green Designation. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Connecticut and New York, specializing in Commercial and Investment Real Estate, with over 40 years of brokerage experience. He has authored nine other books on real estate, including four textbooks with instructor training materials used to teach commercial courses throughout the United States. Mr. Smith is an Instructors Training Institute (ITI) graduate and has eighteen years experience teaching real estate courses. He has developed over a dozen continuing education courses, including several on "Green" concepts, and the Commercial and Investment Real Estate Certification (CIREC) Programs. He has trained over 12,000 students; and instructs for Realtor(R) Boards in CT, NJ and NY and is an Adjunct Instructor at Westchester Community College. He is Past President of: the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors(R) (NYSCAR), the Metro-LI Chapter of NYSCAR and the Long Island Commercial Network. He has also served as a Director of: the New York State Association of Realtors(R), the Long Island Board of Realtors(R) and the Real Estate Practitioners Institute at Long Island University. He is also a former Officer and Director of the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society (CIBS).
