ULTRA RARE Pokemon Hasbro Tomy Houndour Johto Combat Figure w/ Custom Case

Description: For sale is a vintage Houndour Johto League Champions Combat Figure made by Hasbro. Condition: This figure is in good condition. There are a few minor paint scuffs. The figure is still working; it’s mouth opens when it’s legs are pressed down. It does not have its projectiles. Also included is a custom commissioned case featuring artwork from Scyther’s original packaging. Background: This figure is extremely rare; Many of the figures that Houndour was meant to be released with are only known through media photos from the 2002 toy fair because they never went into production. Although this wave of Johto League Champions combat figures was never fully realized, a few figures did get released to the public including this Houndour. The JLC combat figures as a whole were released in waves. The timing and grouping of these waved releases I am not sure of but I’ve broken down some info I know about the series below: - Steelix and Umbreon = confirmed never released prototypes figures - Scyther, Houndour = uber short production run figures - Elekid, Tyrogue, Pikachu Crouching, Cyndaquil = rare production figures. - Spinarak, Chikorita, Totodile, Pikachu Standing, Zapdos, Hitmontop, Heracross = mass produced figures.
