Yes, those were dark, bitter days of despair and hopelessness... But then one day I found a whole one! There it was, laying on the sand at the end of a rainbow, my first floccatus cone! Oh, beat up to be sure, but I'll tell you, when I picked it up, at that moment it was the most beautiful shell in the entire world! . That's shell collecting!. And this shell, with vibrant colors (check out the photos!) on a near-smooth body and a great lip, even with the repair on its back (cleverly worked into its pattern) is the kind of beauty that shell collecting is all about.
