In February 2023 the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine began forming volunteer assault brigades called the "Offensive Guard" as part of the National Guard, the National Police, and the State Border Guard Service, which will, in particular, liberate the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
