A cap is an important fitting as it is used in order to cap off or end a section of iron pipe. It is very similar to a blind flange in that it has the mounting holes for a secure and strong connection, but this cap has a “mechanical joint connection”. The mechanical joint utilizes a nut and bolt system,for a secure connection. It has an Access design, meaning that it does have a 2" center hole which allows liquid/water to flow through the pipeline.
