There is little cosmetic damage, see the pictures for the condition. The diameter is 10 inches. The shades can be released for cleaning with a push and twist. They would perform well inside or out but would last longer indoors. I'm unsure as to how long the connections in the two-piece sockets would last out in the weather. If you'd like your lights to look vintage but perform as new, these are your boys! The goosenecks are hand-produced by a retired electrician in West Virginia, NOBODY does it better! I'm not sure how he does it but they are always identical. From the wall to the center of the light is 18 inches. These goosenecks are extremely strong.
