Description: TWO Antique Charles Meigh & Sons (C.M.&S.) Poppy Improved Stone China Plates These beautiful, rimmed plates were produced in England from 1851 to 1861. They feature scalloped edges, red/orange flowers and green/blue leaves. The plates are 9-1/2" in diameter. These plates are over 160 years old and show condition consistent with age and use. The plates have some crazing, but not much. They have stains and utensil marks. One plate has two chips on the back that are not visiible on the front. The other plate has a very fine hairline crack on the rim. I've tried to capture the defects in the photos. Please view them to see the details and condition of these plates. ***Please be aware that all vintage items will usually show a few signs of age, wear or slight fading due to age, but anything visible will be shown in photos and noted in the description. We believe that any imperfections add to the character, unique patina and charm of the items! Please look at photos closely to see the vintage condition of the item. Thank you!
