Snow leopards live in the steep and rocky alpine regions of Central Asia. They are insulated by thick hair, and their wide, fur-covered feet act as natural snowshoes. Snow leopards have powerful legs and they are able to jump as far as 15 meters. They use their long tails for balance and as blankets to cover sensitive body parts against the severe mountain chill. Vivid Colour Design The coin’s reverse features two snow leopard cubs against a central mountain scene in Central Asia. The inscription CUBS and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark also appear in the design. Tuvalu Legal Tender Coin Issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu, the coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2016 year-date and the monetary denomination. Official Australia Post Stamp Affixed to the envelope is an official Australia Post $1.00 stamp. The stamp is postmarked for the first day of issue and the envelope includes Australia Post’s Seal of Authenticity.
