Turkey Tail Tincture, double extraction Trametes versicolor mushroom immune herb

Description: Turkey tail (Trametes versicolor) is a very pretty, thin, velvety mushroom with colorful stripes resembling the tail of a wild turkey. It is an easily found mushroom growing abundantly throughout North America that has been used medicinally in Asia for centuries. Turkey tail is most well known for its ability to boost the immune system and has been used to help support patients during chemotherapy. It is also an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, and is reported to lower cholesterol, improve heart health, aid in digestion and increase energy. Because of its antiviral and antimicrobial properties, it is useful in fighting the common cold and flu, as well as HPV (human papillomavirus) and hepatitis C. Turkey tail has some medicinal compounds that need to be extracted using alcohol, and some that need to be extracted using water. Both alcohol and water extractions were used to make this tincture, making it a double extraction tincture that contains both the alcohol-soluble and water-soluble medicinal properties of turkey tail. The turkey tail used to make this tincture was harvested by me responsibly and sustainably from my own woods in northern Vermont. Available in 1 oz, 2 oz and 4 oz dropper bottles. Suggested dose is 1-3 dropperfuls per day. One dropperful is 1 squeeze of the rubber bulb regardless of the size of the glass part. The droppers have different size glass parts for different size bottles, but the rubber bulbs are the same size. A dropperful will not actually fill the glass part.
