Description: WOW! What great colors! Antique "OCEAN WAVES" handmade quilt. LOVE the turkey red border with cinnamon pinks and green "waves". Backing is a grey floral. Best color combination! Dates late 1800s. Measures 80 x 80 Very nicely and neatly made. Hand stitched and hand quilted. The quilting is done well and fills the quilt. 8-9spi. Binding is turned from the back to front and hand stitched in place. Very thin batting. Displays beautifully! Very good condition!! I have not cleaned or treated this quilt. Fabrics are sturdy and strong. The red border has a few small frays (see last 3 photos). The red fabric seems to be all the same dye-lot and coloring~the lighting in the photos changed the color in some photos. 2 different double pinks or cinnamon pinks used. Backing looks good with only the binding edge showing a little wear. Slightly yellowed along the edges. No odors. Non smoking environment.
