I lived through all the events that Scott writes about and as it turns out, I knew not even a sliver off the top of a (pre-warming) ice berg. Not only does he articulate the details and the impacts of major American events...but he does so in such an unbiased manner that the presentation of his facts do not lead you down the path of having to agree with this stance. You are allowed to *gasp* be informed and form your own opinions. I normally do not like books that tell a “new” story each chapter, but I got emotionally involved in each.
