Description: This vintage M38 winter jacket was worn by US Army soldiers during WWII. The jacket is made of wool and features a classic Mackinaw design with a button-up front and collar. It has two front pockets and a warm, cozy lining perfect for cold weather. This piece of militaria is an original item from the 1940s and is a great addition to any collection. It has been well-maintained and is in excellent condition. The jacket is a true piece of history and perfect for reenactments, costume parties, or display. The coat is an original and probably stored away for many decades. There is a gritty feel to it and has many stains throughout. I did not attempt to wash due to fear of damaging it or compromising the integrity of the coat. Whoever is lucky enough to purchase this piece of history came make the decisions on how to wash or restore it. Please examine pictures carefully for any flaws and be mindful of the measurements as the tag is not readable. Please note the tag is located in the underside of the pocket as seen in the picture. Also found was a cigarette paper Old Gold in the pocket. Please don’t hesitate to ask questions
