Description: This True American strike anywhere safety match crate box is very, very old but is in great condition. It once held 144 boxes of the True American branded matches from Diamond Match Co. for shipping. The box lid has Chicago stamped on top. Both ends of the box have great, legible advertising and labeling. Possibly older than what I can find out. It is a big crate at 23 Inches left to right, and a little over 15 inches across the labeled ends. Amazing condition for its age, board ends with the stamping are fantastic with good dark print. The lid was attached with two hinges, they are still there. Lid has some damage. No holes in box or bottom, it is quite excellent. Box joints are still solid and holding. The warning label is faded, but still there. We ship insured and usually the next business day. We would prefer to ship this FedEx Home, as it will be a large box.
