The exterior boards and binding shows minimal wear. Corners and pages are unbroken and show no bumping! Original top stain is solid in color with minimal fading. Only visible imperfections are a slight cocking to the spine and top of binding has slightly pulled away (Unglued)! The dust jacket is Very Good but with signs of chipping and wear to exterior edges. Rub wear along front side edge to the corners as well. 1 1/2” tear to top left front jacket near spine edge. This First Printing of Tropic Of Cancer is now in a protective Mylar jacket! This highly controversial banned book by Henry Miller caused quite the stir back in the day due to its vulgarity and sexual content! With the sensationalism over its banning and the legend of its subject content established , a huge demand was created and sustained for the now taboo classic Tropic Of Cancer! I am sure it has made the top ten “Banned Book” list! This is a vintage high collectible book!
