Triumph spitfire 1500 rebuilt 4 speed transmission gearbox with J type overdrive

Description: Here we have a fully reconditioned spitfire 1500 4 speed, single rail gearbox wit the J type overdrive. This fits the spitfire 1500 cars from 1975 to 1980. It does not fit the MK1.2.3.4 cars prior to 975 - or the GT6 cars. This transmission - and the overdrive unit - was completely disassembled, cleaned and inspected. All the normal wear items - seals, gaskets, bearings, synchros, layshaft, circlips, o-rings, overdrive oil pump, non-return valve, etc. were replaced with new. This also has a new reverse idler gear. The overdrive has a relined clutch sliding member. All other parts were checked for proper clearances and condition. The unit was reassembled and reclearanced to factory specs. The unit was then bench and leak tested for function. We are selling this outright, with no core exchange required - try to find one of these! We are also including the parts needed to install an overdrive transmission into a non overdrive car. This includes the steering column overdrive switch, escutcheon, wiring harness, overdrive transmission chassis bracket and mount, overdrive speedometer cable and 90 degree drive, and a new overdrive driveshaft. This is sold without the shift lever and attachment parts, and the bell housing. You reuse these parts from your old 4 speed transmission. We supply a new gasket for between the bell housing and the transmission. All our work comes with a one year warranty.
