Description: Cryphina sp, also known as Pseudocryphaeus, is a Lower Devonian trilobite from Morocco. It is one of the Phacopida. The trilobite is inherently small, with a pronounced snout and schizochroal eye lenses.The trilobite is 0.99 inches long and 0.55 inches wide. Trilobite and matrix is 3.0 by 3.2 by 1.55 inches. Well-preserved schizochroal lenses are present in the left eye. The right eye is missing..There is a repair running through the right eye and across the thorax. In the trilobite -collecting world this is not a detriment. Trilobites are found by smashing open rocks- and the specimens often get broken as a result. It is rare to find an entire, unbroken trilobite. And if one is found, they usually are sold for a premium amount.
