Description: This is a hand painted rock, Birds on Stone, Birds of Nova Scotia, by artist Robert Buckland Nicks of Nova Scotia, Canada. This one is a Tree Swallow painted in 1988. There is a tiny black mark on the white paint, barely noticeable in real life. Each one is different in size and shape depending on the stone, and a description is painted on the bottom. I will include a copy of the print out that came with the birds from the 2000's describing how he chooses the stones to paint and the technique used. They are all really wonderful!
