Description: VERY RARE SOLID COPPER MOUTH This is an original Martha Josey bit. Made by Trammell. Check them out online. Most of their bits are around $500. The bit in this listing is very rare. It does NOT have a copper wire wrapped mouth, like the newer Reinsman Martha Josey combo bits, so it wont develop the same sharp points, if your horse chews on it. It's much more durable. I searched for YEARS to find this bit, with a solid copper mouth, and ended up not needing it. It still has the original high quality lip guards on it, and has been used very little. It's in excellent condition. I only ever found 2 of these bits, after searching for around 15 years. I already sold one. This is the only one available.
