Illustrated with graphic black and white drawings of torture over the centuries. (see photo) Condition: good. The cover shows signs of edge wear which is mild and in keeping with a vintage paperback from 1966. Interior pages are clean and unmarked, with no underlining, highlighting, etc. I have researched this particular edition and could not find one of this particular edition anywhere, so it may be somewhat rare (Brandon House Library edition). The cover design itself is quite cool looking! It's a purple swirl almost marbelized design which I think gives this book a special character and appeal. Yes, the subject matter may be something that not everyone is interested in or wants to read about, but the use of torture through the ages, and particularly against Christians, is a proven fact and part of world history. If you are a collector of offbeat vintage paperbacks, this book would certainly make an interesting addition to your collection.
