Description: Please note: The items that I sell do not come from a smoke free or pet free home. Up for consideration is a vintage Watcombe/Torquay Pottery England Devon Motto Ware creamer jug & open sugar bowl. These delightful stoneware pieces are cream colored with a hand painted country house & trees landscape with motto's. The creamer has "Health is happiness" & the sugar bowl has "To thine own self be true" printed on the side. The creamer is 2 1/2" tall & 1 5/8" diameter at the base--the sugar bowl is approx. 2" tall & 2" diameter at the base. The sugar bowl is in very good condition---no chips, cracks or repairs---the creamer has a tiny nick on the spout. There is a little glaze crazing due to age.
