This means that these particular magnets will not be quite as effective as they are further from the skin. As a rough guide, the magnets are placed roughly every 6cm. Therefore after the collar has been reduced in size to 45cm you will loose 1 magnet every subsequent 6cm. Collar is lovely quality and very substantial. It has 6 x 3,000 gauss Rare Earth Neodymium-Iron-Boron (NdFeB) magnets which are securely sealed in pockets along the length of the collar. Neodymium-iron-boron (NdFeB) magnets magnets are the second generation of Neodymium rare-earth magnets. They are very strong in comparison to their mass, and are made from sintered neodymium, iron and small amounts of boron. These magnets have the highest energy product of any permanent magnetic material.
