Description: 3. Unmarked, possibly A.H. Heisey, Circa 1900 – Custard Opaque Milk Glass colored straight sides. Floral pattern with scalloped rim. Weighs 3.3 oz. prior to packaging. Measures 1 15/16” tall x 1 9/16” in length x 1 3/8” wide at base. Condition: 2 small chips at scallop rim. Bronze paint faded. Vintage Glass may present any of the following non-fracture features or marks:FLOW MARK – a shallow line with rounded edges on the underside base. This is caused by a pattern in the mold being interrupted during pressing.SETTLE WAVES – parallel, slightly wavy lines that form a circular shape on the underside base. This is caused by the glass being cooled slightly while still in the mold and before being pressed. MOLD JOINT MARKS – raised rounded lines at the moulds joints (seams). Caused by either glass being forced into the mold seams, too much seam width, the edges of the joints being too polished, or loosened joints in the moulds from being worn by heavy use. TOOL MARKS – grooves or indented lines on the bowls outside smooth surface. This is an area that was reshaped by the glassmaker after the initial mold shape was formed. SEED or BLISTER BUBBLE – Not harmful to the life of this item. Caused by gasses being trapped in the melted glass. COLOR VARIATIONS – base glass colors vary from the standard intended color. This is caused by variations in either the times and temperature during glass production, the melting and fining of the glass batch in the tanks or pots, or from sensitivity of the glass formula materials.
