The S-shaped groove placement allows the tire to increase the controllability as it optimizes the surface contact. This allows the tire to be quicker and more precise in its response to the driver's commands, while the structure is secured against the driving pressure. The silica and carbon black enhanced tread elements upgrade the high speed durability, by preventing heat build-up along the tread area. The S-shapes elements generate friction between the tire and the road surface, greatly shortening the braking distance. This promotes a driver's better control over the vehicle. The summer compound and the ideal tread design improve the summer traction. The silica compound avoids heat build-up along the tread area, while the tread's surface contact boosts the grip on the road surface during the drive.
