Description: Offered here is a vintage classic Children's Nickel Magazine: "Tip Top Weekly, Dick Merriwell at Bay; or, Defending the Pirate Treasure of Hidden Cave, No. 302, January 25, 1902, Great photo of the New York Institute Junior Football Team of 1901 on the inside of the back cover - some of the bottom left of the description is lost but the photo is nice!, approx. 10 7/8" X 8 3/8", Published by Street & Smith, New York. Issued weekly. In good condition, the spine is detached and there is paper lose on the bottom right of the back cover as inside as seen, some internal oxidation - VERY THIN paper. Came from the original family - purchased from a gentlemen whose great grandfather owned these originally. MANY of these early one have issues with the left side corners. I really believed they were clipped back in the day - maybe remainder stock?? Strange that the same exact corners on each one seem clipped.
