Description: The headline pretty much says it all. This is the venerable New York Times from June 1, 1996. with the obituary of Timothy Leary on the front page. The headline of the article reads, “Timothy Leary, Pied Piper of Psychedelic 60’s, Dies at 75”. The paper is folded, as it is sold, and the Leary obit appears on the lower half of the paper (see pics). Of course, there’s some browning of the paper (23 years old!), but no rips or tears or other damage. In fact, the paper’s never been read, so it’s in about as good a shape as it could be, considering its age and the fact that it was not archivally stored, just taken care of. Exposed to air, but not much light.
