Constructed from high quality 1095 High Carbon Steel with a Rockwell hardness of 59 this chisel is super strong and ready to work! The handle is hand turned from African Padauk and is complemented with a 6063 Aluminum ferrule and striking ring to reduce damage from mallet blows. This chisel handle hardwood (1970 lbf on Janka) is very strong and has a wonderful fine grain with beautiful coloring. This will be your favorite chisel once you use it and feel the beautiful fit and finish of the handle!
