Description: Tiffany & Co. New York A. Lange & Sohne 18K Yellow Gold Pocket Watch ca. 1870's. This handsome Tiffany & Co. pocket watch has a solid 18k yellow gold full hunter case measuring approximately 54.5mm in diameter x 3 inches long including bow. The case has a high polish finish and is engraved on each side. The front is engraved with a monogram that appears to be "CSA". The back is engraved with what appears to be "SRB" and "Christmas". The case back has a very minor dent on the left side and near the stem, as pictured, but is in otherwise great antique condition. The front, back and dust cover hinges all open, close and secure properly. The inside front cover is stamped "Tiffany & Co. NY K18 - 8738". The white enamel dial has black Roman numerals, black moon/whip hands, a single sunk seconds register at six o'clock and is marked "Tiffany & Co. New York". There is the start of a fine hairlines between four and five, but the dial is in otherwise great condition. The acrylic crystal has light glue marks and surface wear and may need replacing. The inside back cover is stamped "Tiffany & Co. NY K18 8738". The inside dust cover is stamped "8738". The gilt movement is stamped "Tiffany & Co. - Union Square - New York - 8738". As pictured, the movement number and case numbers are all matching. All screws and jewels appear to be in great condition. This movement has a diamond end stone, as pictured. The movement appears to be made for Tiffany & Co. by a Glashutte watch maker, specifically A. Lange & Sohne. This watch is stem wind, lever set. This watch is running.
