Description: Then Joy Comes by Denise P. Ingram True and lasting values are the same today as they were many years ago. It’s reassuring to know in our being that God’s principles work in all situations in our lives. The stories you are about to read paint a picture of hope and a future because the characters rely on God for their strength and support. So many present-day stories end unhappily, but it is my desire that this book will uplift the reader with a sense of hope and joy for the future. Those that were in bondage and chains were set free because of God’s redeeming love. Many emotions are displayed throughout the stories such as love, peace, joy, happiness, bitterness, and depression. As families face love ones dying, they learn to endure the pain and loss through the grace of a loving God. The characters learn to live with little or with much and to be thankful for whatever the Lord provides. If there is plenty, the abundance is shared with those who have less. There are miracles and angels working together to bless the families in the stories. Families grow in wisdom and love by working through hardships and difficulties together. Families pray together, trusting God for the impossible to be made possible. God truly gives real freedom to those who have willing hearts to forgive others and who give their hearts to him. It is my sincere hope that these stories will inspire and give you hope for all your tomorrows. Excerpt from Book Snow Covered Hills It all started back up in the mountains near the Shenandoah River, in the late 1800?s. Zackary Wellington, who owned a horse farm, lived about ten miles from Victoria Lincoln. They grew up together and went to the same church. Sometimes, Victoria and Zackary would talk after church on Sunday. Zackary would ask his father what day they would be going to the Cheeleys Old Country Store. Zackary seemed to find a way so he and Victoria could meet. He and Victoria would plan to meet on the days both their parents were coming to the store. Victoria would never tell her parents that Zackarys father would be coming the same day, as her father, James, really didnt care for Zackary or his father much. He thought they were not good enough for his daughter. Victoria worked very hard at home. Her sister, Marlene, was two years older than she but never married. She wasnt really looking for anyone. Marlene didnt like Zackary at all! Zackary had an air about him, and at times thought he was better than other people, but he really loved Victoria Lincoln. He knew he was going to marry her one day. Zackarys mother had passed away three years before due to a very high fever. His dad made Zackary, his only child, work very hard, and taught him not to be lazy. His father had a hard time dealing with the loss of Zackarys mother and never got over it. It made him very bitter and angry. He didnt want anyone to talk about her, not even Zackary. Three years later, Zackarys father passed away. Zackary had called him to dinner one night and went to the barn to find him dead, sitting on a stack of hay. The doctor thought it had been a heart attack. Zackary, now responsible for breeding and training the horses, worked hard and sold some of them to make a living and pay taxes on the farm. The Wellington farm had hills and trees surrounding it with wooden fences for the horses. The Shenandoah River was beautiful in the summer, but in the winter, when it snowed, it was breathtaking. The spacious white farmhouse had five large bedrooms, three fireplaces, and a wraparound porch. It was well kept, and Zackary tried his best to keep it clean and still manage the horse farm and the rest of the farm animals on his own. One day, three years later, Zackary and Victoria were at the Cheeleyss store, and Zackary asked Victoria to marry him. Two weeks later, they were married. Mr. Lincoln was very upset at Victoria and told her she had lost her mind. ?How could you do this? Honey, you are headed for a lot of heartache?, Mr. Lincoln said. Victoria pleaded, ?Please father, I need your blessing. He replied, ?Okay, but Its coming. You will see!? Details ISBN1512764205 Author Denise P.
