A visually appealing installment of the publisher's annual Easter Publication, devoted to the art of Walter Crane. Crane, a student of William Morris, became a greatly celebrated artist within the Arts and Crafts movement. His most notable work is found in the pages of the many children's books he illustrated. Among his other projects was a series of posters he designed in support of the Haymarket Defendants (Crane shared Morris's leftist politics). Herein Crane provides a detailed examination of his own work and provides insight into the thoughts and processes behind several of his illustrations.
