Pages: 120 p. Description: A reprint edition of one of the classic Tall Books illustrated by Feodor Rojankovsky and originally published in the 1940s'. R Code on the front flap of the dust jacket, which may indicate a 1967 printing. The illustrations are in full colour and black and white. This ex-library copy comes complete with the check out card with the earliest date stamp being 1974. The card is quite charming, with a few hand-written students names included. Condition: Sound and square reinforced library edition binding, with illustrated cloth-covered boards. Ex-library book with a few library stamps, including on the title and last pages and with a card pocket and date due slip on rear free endpaper. A little wear to the corners. The text block edges are a little soiled and dusty. Both the front and rear pastedown endpapers have long tape shadow marks, where the jacket protector was taped to them. The inside pages are clean and unmarked overall with a little evidence of page-turning. The dust jacket some tears, creases and chips to the edges, with a larger chunk missing at the bottom front of the front panel. There is also a short tear on the front panel. Some creasing along the spine. Front flap corners are both clipped. There are tape shadow marks on the reverse side. No library spine label present.
