Original jacket is not price-clipped and all text (titles, etc.) remain, but jacket does evince considerable wear & signs of use and handling. Some creasing, numerous small tears, esp. to extremities, chipping, and repairs (some to back are done with Scotch tape to exterior of jacket, others done more professionally). Original ISBN and jacket price remain to upper edge of front flap, and ISBN remains at bottom of back panel. Jacket is mostly complete, with noted repairs, and both spine panel and front remain in fair condition, aesthetically, and present both authors' names, titles and publisher colophon (to spine), as well as the vast majority of graphics. Please see photos for detailed appraisal. Jacket protected with new archival Mylar. Book remains in fine condition. Save for previous owner's name in ink inside front cover, the book is unmarked and appears little used. Some signs of age and very light wear to covers, corners show hint of wear but remain sharp, covers straight and clean though black boards evince UV fading to upper and lower edges. Red cloth spine and gilt titles remain very bright and clean; spine ends in great condition. Minor spot staining to fore-edge of text block, but pristine within, with clean, crisp leaves and no evident damage whatsoever. Binding remains quite sound, square, and reasonably tight. Overall a Very Good+ example of this true first edition classic collaboration of two well-known and acclaimed writers in horror and suspense.
