Description: This is the Official Collectors Edition of The Star Wars Album first edition November 1977 by Ballantine Books. It’s got dramatic illustrations on the front and back covers by Greg and Tim Hildebrandt and its 76 pages are chock full of photos and drawings from the first Star Wars film (yes I know technically it was number 4 I guess). The book does a great job of examining the movies place in science fiction, swashbuckling and even western film history and as the subtitle states it presents “The incredible behind-the-scenes story of the most extraordinary motion picture of our time”. This album is a must have for any serious Star Wars collector and although this edition shows wear consistent with age it’s in real nice overall shape with tight pages and bright colors and graphics.
