A “character sketch of the women of Pittsburg and vicinity” - it is divided into various chapters. Beautiful women, musical women, minister’s wives, temperance workers, etc. An interesting look at late 1700’s society. The first few pages are loose but still attached (see pictures). The binding is otherwise tight. There is some wear and staining on cover. Otherwise the book is in good shape considering it is over 130 years old.
