Description: Vintage The Roundup Collograph print by Charles Russell. The paper is 19" x 33" and the print is 14" x 30". A couple minor edge bumps which would not be noticeable with proper framing. Original work was commissioned by Malcolm Mackay in 1912, this painting depicts the open-range roundups held twice a year in the late 1800s. The spring roundup resulted in the cattle being taken to summer pasture, and the fall would see the cattle ready for market driven to railheads and shipped. Calves born since the last roundup were also branded during these hallmarks of the open-range cattle industry. Payment must be received within four calendar days of auction close.
