Description: This is an original, theater issued lobby card, 11 x 14, for the 1933 classic movie "The Prizefighter And The lady." This card is one piece of a set of 8 cards issued to the theaters for display during the showing of the film. We have only seen this card traded or sold two other times. Though others may exist, to date we have not seen any others of this very rare card. In a bit of history surrounding this film which stars Myrna Loy, Max Bear, Primo Carnera, Jack Dempsey, Walter Huston, and Otto Kruger. MGM made a unique casting move in this movie and hired real life boxers Bear and Carnera, to play the stars of the movie. This was done to make the fight scenes look realistic. A year later in a real boxing ring, Max Baer knocked out Primo Carnera to win the heavyweight title. This original lobby card is in very nice condition with some minor edge and handling wear, some minor edge and corner dings, some border fading, a small tear in the right side upper border, and a few minor border spots of rubs causing color loss. Overall, this card is very nice with fantastic images and graphics and bright vibrant colors. I would grade this lobby card a 5+, on a 1 to 10 scale. We have included a lot of pictures, so you can see the lobby cards condition for yourself. This lobby card will be shipped flat, secured with cardboard.
