Description: The Poetry of Boris Pasternak 1914-1960 translated and edited by George Reavey in Good condition 1960, 4th Print. Selected, edited, and translated by George Reavey with an essay on the life and writings of Pasternak. Reavey knew Pasternak for 30 years. His essay, "Boris Pasternak: The Man, the Poet and the Theorist of Beauty", comprises the first 100 pages of this edition. Also included is Pasternak's speech "On Modesty and Boldness", at the Writers' Plenum in Minsk, 1936. Straight pages with lightly tanned edges. Creasing on the spine, folded corner on lower right corner of the front cover. Two parallel long creases, close together, on the front cover along the spine (see 1st photo). There is a white sticker on the front cover, lower left corner near the spine. Some scuffing on the spine and cover edges. There is a a stain on the lower right corner of the back cover, near the spine (see 2nd photo). Solid bind. Pages are in good condition overall with very little writing besides a few check marks. I checked every page and there are marks on four pages: a check mark written in pen each on page 25 and 145 and a dash in pen on pages 22 and 33 (see last four photos for all)..
