The Paratrooper depicts a heroic Airborne Soldier from WWII. A lifestyle of freedom and independence is reflected in each of Terrys original artworks. The Paratrooper pays homage to airborne troops. The base is symbolic of the Hedgerow country founded in Normandy. The sign and the broken chains emulate the liberation of St.Marie du Mont. Representative of one of many objectives of the 101stDivision. In addition the patches from the other airborne Divisions adorn the sides. This sculpture serves as a reminder of all the sacrifices made by all Armed Forces on behalf of freedom.
