It was decided to record the band live in order to experience the atmosphere and spontaneity of the evening. And of course, to capture the enjoyment of the many faithful fans who regularly support the band. As we have all come to expect, the NJO performed superbly - and my heartfelt thanks go to the musicians that make this excellent band such a joy to be a part of. This wealth of talent; both soloists and section players, combine a collective enthusiasm and exuberance - evidenced by this fine NJO recording. Grateful thanks to Alan Hames for his seemingly effortless recording expertise, and, what would we do without the strenuous efforts of the roadies:- Pat Saville, Brian Pearce and John Pitcher?
