" THE MORNING SONG " 1890'S HC G+ CHILDREN'S 8 CHROMOLITHOGRAPHIC PLATES

Description: This is "The Morning Song: Merry Stories for Girls and Boys" by "favorite authors", in an undated publication by DeWolfe Fiske & Co. There is a penciled gift inscription dated 1895 on the verso of the frontispiece, so it seems clear that the book was published prior to that date. This edition presents lavishly illustrated stories for children; in addition to 8 chromolithographic plates, there are many duotone illustrations. Condition of this book is Good Plus; the edges, corners and spine show considerable wear, with loss of material at the head and tail of the spine. The front hinge is cracked, but still holding well.
