Description: This is THE MODERN JAZZ QUARTET Plastic Dreams LP on Atlantic RecordsSD 1589 Stereo Gatefold 1971 USA. First pressing with the 1841 Broadway address on the labels. Pressed at Presswell. Song selections and personal can be found on one of the photos of the gatefold interior close up. More info can be found on Discogs. This is Discogs release #[r9143790] Record grades: a modified Golmine. NM,EX, VG++,VG+, VG, VG-, G+,G, G-, F, P The COVER VG+ Light shelfwear, protected by the laminated cover. The laminate is lifting in a few small areas, not coming off but a small tear on the spine. Corners look good from the front. Lower right one has a little wear. From the back, lower right corner has a bump. There is a 1 1/2" split on the bottom. Inside gatefold has a one inch split in the center/ fold. No other splits. No creases or bends. No writing. No cutouts. No tape. The VINYL VG Visually,This gets a VG. It has about 3 long, unfeelable hairlines. I thought they were hairs. I wouldn't say they don't affect the sound but they do not cause repetitive ticking. Justplay graded both sides. This vinyl gets an VG(+) for sound quality. Starts off with some crackle but fades away quick when the music starts. First three songs sounded great and I was thinking VG+ but the last cut had low level, crackle to lower the grade. Side two had low level noise between songs. No repetitive pops or ticking. No skips. and rest of record is better than a VG. No pops or ticks. No skips or jumps. Not a Near Mint copy, but still an enjoyable listen. Checked the discs for any warping and there were no issues. Sounds VG(+) Looks VG. The LABELS VG+ When held on an angle under a bright light, I could not see any spindle trails and no spindle hole wear. No writing. The SLEEVE VG Original Atlantic company sleeve,, advertising other current 1971 releases of the day such as Herbie Mann's Memphis Underground and King Crimson's third album Lizard. Led Zepplin III. Deja Vu. Trying to reach out to a rock audience, especially with the cover art. Has a 4" split on the bottom and sides are good. All records will be mailed in sturdy, recycled record specific mailer boxes with extra padding. Disc will be removed from jacket and company sleeve to eliminate splitting caused by transit shifting. I use USPS Media mail. I am happy to combine shipping. The first album is $5.50. Up to 3 more, free, if you ask for a combined invoice when finished shopping and BEFORE PAYING. Thanks. Lower 48 US states sales only, no international, sorry.
