Description: This is the printed copy Vol. ll of a set of 5 journals written by Captain James Cook chronicling all of his voyages. This volume covers the voyages of the Resolution and the Adventure to New Zealand. Ten of the Adventures crewmen were killed by Maori. The Resolution sailed from New Zealand to the Arctic Circle. The book jacket has wear and some tears. The book itself is in very good to excellent condition. It has a nice color plate in the front, and a number of black and white ones as well. Very interesting narrative. Included are the addenda and corrigenda for both Vol. 1 and Vol. II. All proceeds from the sale of this book go to the El Toro Public Library in Lake Forest, CA.
