Description: The High Sign is a vintage Gil Elvgren calendar template print. It is 10 15/16” x 23 1/4” in size and is in good condition. It has a small tear on the right lower side of the template that does not affect the image. It would make a good 11"x14" inch framed print. Gil Elvgren was an American painter and illustrator best known for his iconic pin-up art, especially during the 1940s and 1950s. Working primarily in oils, he created charming, glamorous, and often playful depictions of women, which became popular as advertisements, calendars, and magazine covers. Elvgren was associated with Brown & Bigelow, a company that produced calendars featuring his art, and he also worked with Coca-Cola, General Electric, and other major brands.
