Description: This is a "used" copy of the 1st edition of the game, in excellent condition. Pieces are partially punched, as it was only played a couple of times, and only Eastern Front. How do we know? Because the Brits, French, Greeks, Italians, and Turkish etc. pieces are still on the trees. And also we remember! The box is in fantastic shape, no tears and and no splits (see photos), and apart from some slight cover shelf wear on the very edges of the top, there are no flaws. This was in climate-controlled storage from the mid-80s, and never opened again until now. Colours are vibrant and fresh. No stains. I offer photos of the trees with most pieces still in place with gaps, and then with the loose pieces (Russia, German, Austrian, Serbian etc) placed in the trees to verify that they are all there. (Yes. They are all there). Loose pieces have now been placed in small, flat, plastic baggies by nation or purpose (railway or ID etc.) Also in photos. NOTE: While trying to place the loose pieces in the tree for the photo, some of the Russian and German units still in the tree came loose. All pieces are still there, but it did take a few extras out from the trees. We'll let them fight amongst themselves. We are listing other Avalon Hill and similar games -- and game parts -- all the time, so please look at our other offerings. Thanks for looking. Please inspect all the photos. All components are present, including the die. Photo of rulebook shows it's not marked 2nd edition. This is a really nice copy for a collector. Watch our listing for more AH, Conflict Games, and other titles soon. Thanks for looking.
