Our version of the Hecate's Wheel includes the Ouroboros, an ancient symbol of a serpent eating its own tail. This symbolizes Hecate's affinity for serpentine imagery as well as the symbolism of wholeness, further represented by her three forms. Within the Ouroboros, there is a labyrinth of earth, water, and sky. These three elements not only mirror the three parts of Hecate, but also represent the gifts she was given by Zeus as described in Theogony. "Zeus, Cronus’ son, honoured [Hecate] above all others: he gave her splendid gifts - to have a share of the earth and of the barren sea, and from the starry sky as well she has a share in honour, and is honoured most of all by the immortal gods." Next, a laurel wreath is depicted to pay homage to her Greek heritage. Finally, at the center, there sits a six-point leaf symbolizing grounding and centering oneself in harmony with the earth.
