Description: I believe this was a hotel, or perhaps the door of a family named DeNormandie. I did quite a bit of research to see if there was a hotel with this name, that matched this real photo postcard. There are two hotels with this name, one in Bordeaux, France, and one in Jersey in the Channel Islands. But, neither of those match this photo, including the vintage images I found. There are multiple hotels called Hotel Normandy around the world, but none had this front door, which leads me to believe it is a hotel from bygone days. Why am I so sure it's not a family door? Because when I did an internet search using Google Lens, I found this exact same postcard out in the world. Now, it could be that whomever took the photo sent it to friends around the world to show the DeNormandie Family's front door, but that seems unlikely. The other person with this card thought perhaps the reference to DeNormandie Door was an architectural style, but I don't think so. What do you think? Isn't history intriguing? It sure is a pretty door and front facade. I wonder if those flowers flanking the DeNormandie Door are jasmine. Thank you for viewing this antique postcard from my curated collection.
