These books have moderate wear and remain in good reading condition. Books are from a personal library and have two stickers on the spines of the dust jackets. Pages have brief highlighting (names, letters) and brief notation marks throughout the books; otherwise, pages are clean and crisp with deckle edges. Outside page edges have minimal shelf and handling wear. Bindings and hinges are tight and have been reinforced by the library (heavy books); the spines are strong and slightly bowed at the top. Covers have light staining. Dust jackets have light shelf and edge wear with light creasing on several edges and flap corners. The slipcase is strong and intact with shelf, edge and corner wear. Any exceptions are listed below. Good reading/ study copies. (Note: Any shadows or glare on the photographs are due to lighting and are not on the books. Pages are much brighter than they appear in the photos.) Volume 1: "Fort Sumter to Perryville", 1958 It has a dark circular stain on the back of the cover.Volume 2: "Fredericksburg to Meridian", 1963. Contains one creased corner.Volume 3: "Red River to Appomattox", 1974. This book has less wear than the other two books.
